Wanted to get on hear and make sure to tell you all about grapes. Grapes are poisonous to dogs so be on the look out next year. The most serious complication of grape/raisin toxicity is they can cause severe kidney damage. Make sure you don’t have these in your yard or accessible to your dogs. Our neighbor has a vine or two creeping over that we always have to watch out for once they get to long we make sure to turn them back over towards the neighbors yard.
In the Northern Hemisphere, grapes start to bud as early as March and flower in May. In July and August you can start to see the vine fruit and in September and October they are ready to harvest. It may be hard to notice or pick it out if you don’t have much of green thumb, but hopefully my small summary of the grapes growth cycle will give you an idea of what to look out for.
